Hailing from Texas (Beckie and Jake Alborn), Nebraska (Adam Costenbader) and Minnesota (Mary Bull), 14:14 was brought together by their passion for ministry and worship. The band gets its name from the book of Exodus. In today’s society and technological age it’s so easy to have our time and minds consumed and busied with so many distractions.  It’s often so easy to let those distractions get in the way or in between us and God. We are reminded in Exodus 14:14: “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” 14:14 hopes that their testimonies and passion for worship and music can help convey the love of God and the gift through Jesus’ sacrifice to everyone with whom they have a chance to worship.

Amanda Whittaker

Amanda has been involved with Youth Encounter on a Global Work Crew to Tanzania, as a trek leader, on the Captive Free North East Team 05-06, on the New Vision International Team to Australia in 06-07, as a team training Program Director, and now as an Event Ministry Director. Amanda is originally from South Bend, Indiana home of Notre Dame Football and her mom’s lasagna. Amanda graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, worked at a camp in Illinois (everyone should work at a camp at least once), and served as the Director of Youth & Family Ministries and Parish Education at a congregation in Peru, IL. Amanda spends as much time as she can hiking and camping in the summer. She enjoys visiting family and friends the rest of the year (especially the ones that live in non-cold places).
