    Dan Scharnhorst
    Dan Scharnhorst has been blessed with many opportunities to speak at youth conventions and gatherings all across the country.  With an emphasis on Christ’s forgiveness, acceptance, grace and compassion, Dan boldly proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ through stories and humor.  When Dan is not on the road, you will find him working as the Youth Ministries Coordinator at the FELC-PLC Lutheran Parish in Oshkosh, WI. He is an avid sports fan, almost to the point of immaturity, and will not miss any opportunity to live and die with the Minnesota Vikings, Twins and the Iowa State Cyclones. Dan and his wife Becky were married in November of 2001 on the shores of Jamaica and currently live in Oshkosh, WI, with their son Max and daughter Madelyn.

    Lynn Stoneking

    Lynn Stoneking is a singer/songwriter, wife, and mom from southern Minnesota.  She grew up singing Gospel music with her family and has now etched her own style – adding Blues and Rock to engage all generations in a “Good Time”.

    Lynn and her husband Thomas are the second generation to represent ‘MARANATHA MINISTRIES’ – a ministry started by Lynn’s parents in 1972.  They, along with son Jackson, travel part-time around the United States, leading in worship and speaking at youth events, camps, Vacation Bible Schools, school chapel services, nursing homes, and community events. 

    “When not traveling, we enjoy being on our farm w/ our dog Girl, splitting wood, baling hay, gardening, enjoying family & friends, and Thomas works as an electrician.  We have the best of all worlds…and we thank God for the blessings and trials of each day!”

    Joe Wilkinson Event Director
    Born and raised in small town Wisconsin, Joe graduated from UW-Stevens Point with majors in Philosophy, Media Development, and a Psychology Minor.  During that time, Joe spent his summers working at one of the camps of Crossways Camping Ministries, doing everything from counseling to program development, to working in the kitchen.  Having traversed the frozen tundra to neighboring Minnesota, Joe is excited for his opportunity to continue working in youth ministry through Youth Encounter.  Joe loves playing games (he has over 20 board games!), Ultimate Frisbee, bowling, discussing theology and philosophy, reading, and would like to some day get back into fencing.

    Please join us for fun, fellowship, and food at this year's Austin Quake Alumni Gathering. We look forward to re-connecting with you and other alumni from years past.

    Please RSVP to 'Youth Encounter Alumni' or by contacting Ashley Topp. This will help us plan for food and get an accurate count of who will be in attendance. Even if you aren't able to stay for food, we invite you to join us as you are able. We also invite you to join us in worship after the alumni gathering for the Saturday Evening Celebration in the event ballroom.
