So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

    Restoring the Promise
My Future: Impending Disaster or Inviting Promise?
Through Youth Encounter’s new special emphasis events, youth will be encouraged to make wise choices that will help them prepare for healthy Christian single, married, and family living and ministry. Restoring the Promise is introduced to counter the threat to the future well-being of youth:

“…about half of all U.S. teens engage in behaviors that…threaten their ability to become functioning adults.”*

Special emphasis events will offer youth a message of hope and healing. Throughout the weekend speakers and small group leaders will:

    • Help to clarify God’s vision for their lives through biblical texts and conversations
    • Encourage youth to have healthy relationships and offer healing from unhealthy relationships
    • Engage in caring conversations with youth about their dreams, stresses and pressures
    • Assist in the understanding of the importance of reserving sexual intimacy for marriage
    • Share the message of God’s grace and love through Jesus Christ

This new emphasis is being introduced to help youth heal their pain and stop the damages from cultural messaging. The event will promote a future full of hope for youth through Jesus Christ. We invite you to join us in Restoring the Promise to youth.
