National Youth Event

July 5-8, 2012

Equipping young people to live out their faith in Jesus Christ.

The purpose of Impact is to:

  • proclaim Jesus as Savior and Lord so lives may be transformed
  • resource congregations to strengthen their youth ministry
  • equip young people to live out their faith in Jesus Christ

This will be done through worship, small groups on life topics, and serving together as they engage in Christian fellowship. Youth will grow deeper in their faith and understanding of the love and plans that our Lord has for them. The youth will also have an opportunity to do a service project with Kids Against Hunger.

Impact is for high school students that have completed grades 8-12.

Impact Announcements - Saturday, July 23, 2011

We're planning a great youth event in Nashville, Tennessee - four days of worship, small groups, service projects, breakouts, bible studies, concerts, and games.

Hope to see you in Nashville July 5-8!

This year, we will have an on-site service project through a partnership with Kids Against Hunger.  We will be packing life-saving emergency meals that will help feed children suffering from starvation and malnutrition around the world.  Find out more about the partnership and project at www.youthencounter.org/kidsagainsthunger

The program fees at the left are inclusive of all programming for the event.  The hotel room cost has been removed from the registration cost to allow your group more freedom in choosing where to stay.  We have rooms at the event hotel available for $92 per night; you can register for as many of these rooms as you need when you register for the program.  This rate is availble two days before and after the event as well.  Contact registrar@youthencounter.org to find out how you could come early or stay late as an opportunity for your group to see the sights or do some local service projects around Nashville.

Looking to share car-pooling or find another group to go together with to rent a bus?  We've created a facebook group called Impact 2012 Adult Leader's Meet-Up so you can find other leaders in your area interested in travelling together or helping each other out in various ways.  E-mail event director David Frei at dave@youthencounter.org if you have more questions.

Are you planning to go to one of our Quakes, Quake Zones, or Zones?  Or maybe you are planning to go to Impact with your high school students, and haven't thought about attending one of these regional events with your middle school students?  Check out the "Regional Event Coupon" in the event downloads section for a great discount if you go to both!

Check back here frequently for updates as bands, speakers, and other information is added.

She enjoys a good laugh, a well told story, connecting with people through her music and through travels. “When it comes down to it, there is something really sacred about telling our story and about hearing each other’s stories. I just happen to do that through song.” In April 2006 Abingdon Press released Celia’s first book. It contained real life stories from Celia’s work and travels and was written for graduating seniors. Celia has written two other books for Abingdon Press. Each of the three books contains a music CD inspired by the stories. www.celiamusic.net
