We put our hope in the Lord.

He is our help and our shield.

Event Director

David Frei

David Frei is originally from the Plastics Thermoforming Capital of North America - Beaverton, Michigan. While he’s not quite sure what that means, his mother is the mayor, so he needs to make the town sound exciting. He went to St. Olaf College in Minnesota and worked for a few years as a camp director in Wisconsin. David has been known alternatively as Jethro, Plungerman, Da Ve (pronounced Dah-Vay), and sometimes even Dave. He is a big fan of dark chocolate and diet cherry sodas (yes, soda – David grew up in a “pop” town, but he changed to “soda” on purpose in 7th grade). He likes to ride his bike really far, enjoys pineapple and jalapeno on his pizza, and has pictures of his adorable son Isaiah that he would like to show you if you ask.

Speaker

Tiffany Thompson

Tiffany loves life and with an artist’s heart hopes to encourage others to embrace all the mystery of both joy and pain to paint a positive future. She has spoken to youth for over 15 years on issues that young hearts are struggling with. She captures the audience’s attention the moment she steps on stage. From her personal style to her dynamic delivery, it is obvious that Tiffany speaks teens’ language.
Not only does Tiffany seize their attention, but she is a natural at lifting audience inhibition. “I hate to be the only one talking,” she says. When Tiffany asks a question, she gets an enthusiastic response. Youth leaders accustomed to yawns and blank stares during programs are often surprised to witness teenage boys and girls literally jumping out of their seats to participate.
Teens listen to Tiffany because she is real. She shares from her own mistakes, victories and daily struggles on topics students can relate to. Tiffany helps students grasp difficult concepts through the use of strong visuals that students remember long after the presentation is over. She consistently challenges youth to take their faith to the next level.
