We put our hope in the Lord.

He is our help and our shield.

    - Psalm 33:20

    Speaker

    Wes Halula

Wes Halula has spent the majority of his life being a ham. When he was younger, this really worked against him. Later in life, he figured out how to harness his energy for good. Wes has appeared in many commercials, performed in theatre across the Midwest and west coast, and performed with Comedy Sportz in Kansas City, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles. Wes is best known for his "day job" as one of the members of HappyFunTime, an improvisational and sketch comedy troupe. He uses his broadcasting degree from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN when HappyFunTime produces their "sketch comedy parables." These videos are used in youth groups across the United States. He spent a good portion of the past five years wearing tights and a big foam box being the Idea Box for Best Buy. Wes desperately wants to see the world the way God sees it. He wants to love people the way God loves them. And he'll never pass up the opportunity to tell people just how much God has done for us. Website: www.happyfuntime.net

     100 White Flags

Separately they come from the 4 farthest sides of the United States. Together 100 White Flags (Beth, Jeromy, Paul, and Zac) are based in Minneapolis, MN. You take one part chick folk rocker and blend it with three part southern rock blues and you get a fair representation of what it is to experience 100 White Flags. The band members formed in the summer of 2006 and have been sharing their gifts at many youth events spanning the county. This is nothing new to the members of 100 White Flags. The band represents 12 years of professional touring music ministry, 5 years of youth ministry within the church, 3 years of event planning ministry through a non profit Christian organization, 3 years of international missional ministry, collectively over 200 national and regional youth event musical appearances, 4 years truck driving, national public speaking, teaching and work shop leading, and all before the age of 30. On stage 100 White Flags is a fun musical experience. Off stage 100 White Flags is about the audience and meeting the people they have the privilege of performing for.

    Event Director

    David Frei

David Frei is originally from the Plastics Thermoforming Capital of North America - Beaverton, Michigan. While he’s not quite sure what that means, his mother is the mayor, so he needs to make the town sound exciting. He went to St. Olaf College in Minnesota and worked for a few years as a camp director in Wisconsin. David has been known alternatively as Jethro, Plungerman, Da Ve (pronounced Dah-Vay), and sometimes even Dave. He is a big fan of dark chocolate and diet cherry sodas (yes, soda – David grew up in a “pop” town, but he changed to “soda” on purpose in 7th grade). He likes to ride his bike really far, enjoys pineapple and jalapeno on his pizza, and has pictures of his adorable son Isaiah that he would like to show you if you ask.
